Pediped Shoes

Over the past year or two I have heard moms talking about Pediped shoes. I didn't know too much about them, other than they supposedly make walking easier for toddlers thanks to their extremely flexible soles. Lily Bean is on the brink of walking, and I was thrilled when a pair of Pedipeds arrived at my door for us to review!

We received a pair of Pedipeds in the Amber Style.

Right away I was impressed with how soft yet durable the entire shoe is. Some of Lily Bean's other shoes are stiff and rigid, and I have noticed that she can be reluctant to walk very far in them. I cracked open the Pediped box immediately and as soon as she woke up from her nap, on they went!

It is obvious that Pedipeds are designed to closely resemble a child's foot. They fit like a slipper and provide coverage while offering flexibility. The Pediped collection includes the Original Line (soft-soled shoes for ages 0-2+) and their Flex Line (rubber-soled shoes for ages 1-6).

Unlike any other shoe that we have tried, Lily Bean took off immediately in her Pedipeds! She crawled across the room, and then walked while holding on to the table. There was no awkward walking or getting used to wearing shoes vs. bare feet- she moved just as freely and comfortably in her Pedipeds as she does without shoes!

I have to say, whenever I review products, I always try to find something in the way of a suggestion. After observing my daughter in these shoes for the past 2 weeks, I could not think of a single thing that I would do to improve these shoes. They are that good. I was going to suggest that they use standard shoe sizing instead of a 0-6 month, 6-12 month, etc. scale, but upon further inspection on their website, they do have a chart that shows sizing match-ups, as well as a printable measuring chart to ensure proper sizing.

Pediped has just announced their fall line of shoes, and you won't be disappointed! They have an adorable collection of shoes available, including their new couture line!
